Uploading Photostrips to Facebook

I see there are a few complaints in the reviews on iTunes that a couple people are having trouble uploading to Facebook and I would like to clear this up now.

This is kind of weird to explain in a way that reads right but I'll give it my best shot.

Facebook doesn't like photos that are of dimensions like the strip layout - 120 x 600 or 240 x 1200.. The long and narrow kind. It doesn't mind the quad layouts at all because they're properly proportioned.

Now if you upload a strip layout from within the app it works fine. That is because when you upload the strip to Facebook from the sharing menu it creates the photo strip onto a blank image with dimensions that Facebook likes.

So if you use the app to upload to Facebook you have no problems. If you e-mail yourself a strip and then attempt to upload that to Facebook, you may have problems. However if you have a quad (box) layout, that can be e-mailed then uploaded, no problem or uploaded directly from the app, no problem.

I know this is annoying, believe me, I beat my head against the wall for a long time trying to get this resolved and so far this is the best solution. If something different comes up or there becomes a better way to do this then I'm all over but for now you must use the app to upload (strip layouts only) to Facebook. Let me repeat that again worded slightly differently. You can upload the quad layout pics to Facebook without using the app but to upload strip layouts you must use the app.

For now it's on Facebook! Bam! Take that Facebook, blaming you for it!
